New Delhi: Wadia Group-controlled no-frills carrier GoAir has been rebranded GoFirst ahead of its proposed initial public offering (IPO). The rebranding also comes at a time when a large chunk of the air passenger traffic has been wiped out over the last fortnight by the second wave of covid-19 infections.
Why GoAir changed its name?
The carrier is aiming at young travellers with the rebrand Wadia Group-controlled airline GoAir has rebranded itself as Go First, the company announced on Thursday. The purpose of rebranding the 15-year-old airline is “to fully embrace the ultra-low-cost airline model” to gain an advantage over its peers.
