Each month, before your prescription can be refilled, you’ll need to answer a few questions and resubmit your pledge to use two forms of birth control.
What happens if you miss Accutane for a day?
If you forget to take the capsules, take them as soon as you remember, unless it’s nearly time for your next dose. In this case, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time. Never take 2 doses at the same time to make up for a forgotten dose. Never take an extra dose to make up for a missed one.
What happens if you don’t pick up Accutane in time?
If you miss the 7-day window to pick up your very first prescription, you will have to wait 19 days before you can start the qualification process again. You will be locked out of the system during this time, no exceptions.
What happens if you skip a month of Accutane?
If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses. If you miss a dose of Absorica®, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time.
What happens if you miss a week of Accutane?
It’s ok if you run out of your medication before your next appointment. Accutane stays in your system for several days and missing a few days (or even weeks) will not impact the final outcome!
How much water should you drink on Accutane?
Answer: Keep hydrated while taking Accutane We would recommend eight 8oz glasses of water daily to maintain normal hydration levels. It is important to stay hydrated while you are taking Accutane.
Can I have a glass of wine on Accutane?
Do not drink alcohol while you are taking ISOtretinoin. You may have unpleasant side effects such as fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting. Check your food and medicine labels to be sure these products do not contain alcohol.
