Are Disney MagicBands being discontinued?
What is this? Disney World recently announced that they will no longer be offering complimentary MagicBands starting with arrivals January 1, 2021, and beyond.
Are Disney MagicBands interchangeable?
If you have multiple MagicBands (because you are splitting your stay between two resorts, for example) they can be used interchangeably because they both link to your same My Disney Experience account.
Can I decorate my MagicBand?
You can still decorate your MagicBand even if you don’t have a crafty side. There are custom stickers and skins available for purchase. Magic Your Band offers a huge variety of skins for your MagicBands. You can even design a custom skin.
Can you use MagicMobile and MagicBand?

How do I customize my MagicBand?
When purchasing a retail MagicBand in a merchandise location or online through shopDisney, personalization is not available. You will need to link your MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account by using the code printed on the inside of the band.
How long do Disney MagicBands last?
Disney has suggested that the MagicBands will remain active for approximately two years before the battery dies. The oldest of the ones that we have are reaching that point and we haven’t had any issues yet with any of them dying.
What is the difference between MagicBand and MagicBand 2?
The difference between the original version and MagicBand 2 can be summed up as style and functionality! The biggest change is that the Mickey icon (or puck), that serves as the centerpiece of the band, is removable from MagicBand 2. This allows Guests to keep the puck in a location other than around their wrist.
Can you change MagicBand color?
If you ordered a solid-colored MagicBand, all you have to do to change the color is log into your My Disney Experience account and click My MagicBands and Cards. You will then see the MagicBand colors by each guest in your party. From there, you will then be able to change the color with just a few clicks!
Do MagicBands have names on them?
The names are printed in tiny letters on the inside of the band. These MagicBands are “automagically” linked to each Guests’ profile, so it important to know which band is linked to which person, as a MagicBand cannot be reassigned to another Guest once it has been linked.
