Find the trail entrance to Secret Beach about 1/3 mile south of milepost 345 on U.S. 101 in Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. There is a small gravel parking area that leads to the 3/4 mile trail down to Secret Beach.
Do you need permits for the Oregon Coast Trail?
Permits and Fees. Hikers don’t need a permit. However, if you park a car at Oregon State Park or a US Forest Service trailheads, you may need to make reservations to get a permit. Call beforehand to find out local permit requirements for parking.
Is salmonberry trail open?
The first half mile of the trail is now open in Tillamook! We are still in the planning stages for trail development. The trail will probably be developed in small increments. Please Note: parts of the line are actively used by trains, and the portions that have been storm-damaged are too dangerous for public access.
