ZOO CONDUCT The Zoo does not allow outside food and beverages, coolers, vaporizers, balloons, glass containers, outside alcohol, bicycles, rollerblades, skates or the popular roller shoes, Heelys, on its property. Children’s wagons are welcome. Appropriate dress for a family-friendly institution is required.
How old is YaYa the panda?
Memphis Zoo says Ya Ya, a 21-year-old giant panda, is as healthy as can be. Ya Ya has been in the Bluff City since 2003, chomping on bamboo and perusing her enclosure. She is also accompanied by a male panda named Le Le. Ya Ya is a petite bear that “carries her weight a little differently” than Le Le.

Is Memphis Zoo Lights open?
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. *The Zoo is closed during the day on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. The Zoo will re-open on Thanksgiving night and Christmas night at 5:30 p.m. for SunTrust Zoo Lights.
