How much space do you need behind a receiver?
Ideally, you should leave at least three inches of space above the top of your receiver. AV cabinets with removable back panels offer easy access for connections.
Can a receiver be in a closed cabinet?
It needn’t be permanently installed; just for testing. I run my receiver in a closed cabinet. The hottest I’ve seen the top of the receiver is 109 degF. The air in the cabinet remained below 100 degF.
Can I put AVR on floor?
Put a slab of granite or marble under the amp and get 3-4 rubber door stoppers at Home Depot under the slab. That will raise it off the floor enough to promote proper ventilation and heat distribution.
Is Marantz really better than Denon?
