How much yard of vinyl is on a roll?
50 yards
Each roll is 50 yards long. I am not a happy customer. Both rolls were rolled onto one tube, for a total of 100 yards (2 different colors, rolled on top of the other, onto one tube!) In other words, I cannot get to my king blue vinyl, unless I unroll all 50 yards of the other vinyl.

Do you need to stretch vinyl wrap?
For most vinyl wrap films, it is recommended to be stretched under 15% so that it can stay in shape. But it might be tricky to tell how much to stretch before reaching 15%.
Why is my vinyl wrap not sticking?
When the material is overstretched, there is a risk of it lifting off the surface of your car, since the adhesive gets thinned out in the process, making the vinyl less sticky. Overstretched areas may also be in a lot of tension, which leads to film failing, especially on edges and corners.
How much vinyl does it take to make a shirt?
In general- adult sized shirt designs should be between 11 and 14 inches. For kids sized shirts, you only need between 5.5 and 9 inches. Of course, the design size can change depending on what you’re making, but these are good sizes to start with. Where to place your design once you have it cut is a little easier.

Which is thicker 12 Gauge or 20 gauge vinyl?
The higher the gauge number, the thicker the vinyl. 20 gauge vinyl is very thick, probably thicker than you want to use for sewing anything bag related. If you are using clear vinyl as part of the lining of bags, as in the Set To Go Cosmetic Bag pattern, a 4 to 8 gauge vinyl is great.
What Gauge vinyl is used for project bags?
For sewing purses and pouches, I really like 12-16 gauge vinyl. It doesn’t hold wrinkles very easily and it is sturdy without being too stiff to work with. If your project will require turning inside out and back again, you will probably want a thinner vinyl in the 8-12 gauge range.
