Is the Black Knight Greatsword better than the Zweihander?
Black Knight is better early-mid game, as it is easier to upgrade, and deals a crap tonne of damage. Eventually, out of the two, you will want to move to the Zweihander though. Damage, range, stagger and the thrust knockdown make it a very powerful weapon.

The Black Knight Greataxe has very high base damage and good Strength scaling, although like most unique weapons, it cannot be enchanted. Its heavy swings are very good for breaking Poise and stunlocking. It does, unfortunately, telegraph its moves slowly and obviously, making it easily parried in PvP.

Raw is literally worthless in DS1, stick to the normal upgrade path. Normal +14/+15 are strictly better than Raw +5. You could use it to get a little more base damage in the early game… but you could just rush the Very Large Ember instead, which gives you a better weapon that doesn’t waste titanite.
