NZQA evaluates overseas tertiary and vocational qualifications to work out how they compare to New Zealand qualifications. Evaluation results can help New Zealand organisations better understand your overseas qualification for immigration, employment or further study.

How do I get my NZQA?

How do I submit NZQA?

Submit the completed documents via the TEO application web page (see below) on the NZQA secure site. Applicants must be a legal entity and recognised by NZQA as a qualification developer. Those organisations automatically recognised by NZQA include: workforce development councils.

Merit represents very good performance and Excellence represents outstanding performance as measured against the criteria of the standard. Merit and Excellence grades are not available for most unit standards. Certificate endorsements encourage students to achieve Merit and Excellence grades.

How many credits is a 2021 course endorsement?

To get a certificate endorsement you will need 46 credits at Merit or Excellence level, instead of the usual 50. To get a course endorsement you will need 12 credits at Achieved or Merit or Excellence level in a course, rather than 14. You still need to achieve at least 3 credits in externals and 3 in internals.

Can I enter NZ without ielts?

Yes, you can get a New Zealand study visa without taking the IELTS. The New Zealand Immigration authority will conduct an interview with you to check your English language communication skills before approving your visa.
