What should you do after replacing a turbo?
After installing a new turbo, make sure to prime the unit by injecting clean engine oil into the oil feed hole and turning the rotor assembly by hand. Remember that a lack of oil priming during fitting can damage a new turbo prematurely.
How long does it take to remove a turbo?

Can you still drive without turbo?

Unfortunately yes. Car will run fine under normal condition with no tune , but pressing more than half throttle will be lean and not safe. Also, adding the turbocharger is a nice addition to the performance, but lets say that tuning the car with that turbo is what will give you most of your performance gain!

Since the return line empty’s into the oil pan above the oil level (else it wouldn’t empty), there is no need to drain the oil before removing it.
