What is Chameleos?
The monster Chameleos is a large monster in Monster Hunter Rise. It was added to the game as part of April Update – Patch Version 2.0. This page will cover its weaknesses, tips to beat it, item drops, armor, and more.
What does Chameleos mist do?
Chameleos has the ability to camouflage itself by using the electric currents running through its skin, refracting light in the mist and thus making its body invisible. This camouflaging ability is disabled if its horn is broken, and the tail severed.
Can u capture Chameleos?
Chameleos is an Elder Dragon so it can’t be captured. It drops a Shiny, if flashed by a Flashbomb while it’s attacking.
What can Chameleos steal?
As for its second gimmick, Chameleos can steal players’ spiribird pollen from their petalace. It will usually do this by lashing its tongue out at players, but it also has a physical charging attack that can also steal the pollen.
What damage does Chameleos?
Chameleos will slam its huge body to deal damage. It can also do this from invisible state by uncloaking momentarily then slamming its huge body towards unsuspecting hunters.
Can elder dragon be captured?
Long story short: Elder Dragons still cannot be captured, as everyone is used to it since like forever. Elder Dragons and Apex Monsters cannot be captured but Apex Monsters can be trapped used for extra damage.

How to Beat Chameleos
- Always bring Antidotes or Herbal Medicine.
- Use Teostra equipment with Teostra Blessing.
- Deal Elemental Blights to see Chameleos better when invisible.
- Break Chameleos’ horns!
- Wiredash upwards when trapped inside the Poison Ring.
