Why is the coating coming off my sunglasses?
Oils from your skin will easily collect and smear on the lenses. For myself, I lean into a microscope multiple times a day, so my glasses always have the rubber microscope eyepiece smudges to remove. But if you clean your glasses with the wrong materials, you will eventually scratch and wear away the surface coatings.

Yes, all Oakley sunglasses have a serial number on the inner temple. The serial number should have 7 numbers or letters. Fake pairs usually feature a 3-digit number on the temple tips or temple.

Its normal. Ive had a couple returned for warranty, and eventually they all end up like that. When I visited the oakley shop in London they said that the cause was due to sweat or water being left to dry on the lenses. They strip the coating when it evaporates.
