Why do anemones fight?
Some anemones fight over territory using tentacles loaded with specialized nematocysts. As an adaptation in order to occupy more territory, some anemones become clones by reproducing asexually. They then have territorial battles with neighboring clones.
Do anemones fight each other?
Where two colonies meet they form a distinct boundary zone. Anemones that contact an animal from another colony will fight, hitting each other with special tentacles that leave patches of stinging cells stuck to their opponent.

How many anemones can I have?
Give it plenty of light and feed it once or twice a week small meaty items. on my 57g i got 3 bta. i would imagine you can add more but i wouldn’t add more than 2-3 because they tend to grow bigger and split.
What does it mean when my anemone splits?
If conditions are good and the anemone has extra energy it will take that extra energy into producing a clone — to advance the species. However, if conditions are poor, the anemone will take its last remaining bits of energy to split — the purpose in being that the clone will be able to find better conditions.
