Why is Euron’s crew mute?
Often referred to as “mutes and mongrels” in the books, Euron cuts out the tongues of the men he’s spared during his pirate raids and makes them part of his crew. He does this so they can’t challenge him or attempt to mutiny against him. This is mentioned in the show in both Season Eight and Season Seven.

No. It’s made fairly clear in the books that he’s dead. I’ve read some crazy theories claiming that he’s alive, involving identity switches and similar nonsense, but I don’t buy them. The point of Quentyn’s story was to show that he was an innocent victim of his father’s plan for vengeance.
