- compile UNISIM libraries by runnin compxlib and following wizard.
- then in your modelsim, library pane add new library.
- after that add library from existing library and point to folder which contains compiled version of unisim, e.g. it is C:\Xilinx\10.1\ISE\vhdl\mti_senisim for me.

Is UniSIM (Honeywell) worth it?
UniSim (honeywell) vs HYSYS (Aspen Tech) will be the real question. I have worked with both, Aspen Plus and HYSYS, they are user friendly and they are in fact the leading process simulation software. UniSim is ok just to learn the basics on process engineering, it is pretty limited to fine chemistry imo.

Unisim is actually a copy of HYSYS version 2006 if I’m not mistaken, Unisim born due to anti monopoly that is regulated in the united state.
Is Prosim better than HYSYS or UniSIM?
PROSIM is less known than either HYSYS or UNISIM but many consider it to be a better software for modeling amine treatment processes (removal of hydrogen sulfide and CO2 from natural gas) compared to HYSYS and UNISIM.
Is SimSci a good program to use?
I’ve used SimSci before but its more commonly know as Proii, pro two, and it’s a pretty good simulation program. While it’s not as diverse in terms of unit operation as HYSYS it does a pretty good job of simulating whatever it is you’re doing on there.
