Any solids exported to hpgl and subsequently imported to will end up as outline. I guess you could add many internal lines to the shape, and do it that way. It depends on the shape you are trying to fill (make solid) though.

Project is on halt for a couple more weeks though whilst having to do some other work. I have nothing to add to this thread other than to say that I haven’t seen the acronym HPGL since the 80’s, and it gave my seizures as I recalled having written an interpreter/renderer for it at the time .
