How does OpenPuff work?
OpenPuff is used primarily for anonymous asynchronous data sharing: the sender hides a hidden stream inside some public available carrier files (password + carrier files + carrier order are the secret key) the receiver unhides the hidden stream knowing the secret key.
What is Stego data?
Steganography is the technique of hiding secret data within an ordinary, non-secret, file or message in order to avoid detection; the secret data is then extracted at its destination. The use of steganography can be combined with encryption as an extra step for hiding or protecting data.
What is SSuite picsel?
User-friendly, mobile, and with no need for installation, SSuite Picsel Security is an amazing tool which allows you to encrypt any text document using a groundbreaking steganography technique. It’s able to recode images so they can be used as a unique, completely private code for accessing the text itself.
What is stenography example?
Steganography is the practice of hiding a secret message inside of (or even on top of) something that is not secret. That something can be just about anything you want. These days, many examples of steganography involve embedding a secret piece of text inside of a picture.
What is LSB method?
1 Least Significant Bit. The Least Significant Bit (LSB) [93] method is the easiest way to embed secret information. By replacing the minimum weighting value of a sampled speech signal with binary bits of secret information data, the secret information can be hidden in the speech.
What is an example of steganography?
Steganography Examples Include: Writing with invisible ink. Embedding text in a picture (like an artist hiding their initials in a painting they’ve done) Backward masking a message in an audio file (remember those stories of evil messages recorded backward on rock and roll records?)
Which of these is an example of social steganography?
Social Steganography is a tactic employed by teens to “hide” messages from their parents, and from audiences at large. For example, your daughter might post a picture of a half-eaten donut.
What is steganography and what are some examples?
The classic example to explain the concept of steganography is a message hidden inside an image file. No one, on first look, would except an image file to contain a secret message. That’s what steganography is all about, concealing the data.
Is there any new research on steganography in OpenPuff?
A lot of work has been published about OpenPuff since the beginning of the project, back to version 1.01 released on December 2004. Some of the following papers describe new brilliant research in the steganography/steganalysis field, that will be surely included in the upcoming versions of OpenPuff.
What is steganography and encryption?
Steganography refers to techniques that hide messages or data, encryption on the other hand to techniques that protect a file from unauthorized access by encrypting it. The classic example to explain the concept of steganography is a message hidden inside an image file. No one, on first look, would except an image file to contain a secret message.
Can OpenPuff reconstruct the original data?
TASK REPORT: If carriers have been added in the right order, with the original bits selection levels, OpenPuff will be able to reconstruct the original data. For better security, data will be reconstructed only after a successful CRC check. Even the slightest change in one of the carrier could damage the data and prevent every unhiding try.
