What is IEI Kolkata?
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers, established in 1920 with its Headquarters located in Kolkata and incorporated under Royal Charter on 9th September, 1935 by the then His Majesty of King George V.
Is IEI and Amie same?
IEI stands for Institute of Engineers(India). It is multidisciplinary organization formed in India which has more than 1 million members in it. Whereas AMIE stands for Associate membership in IEI which is membership certificate given by IEI to the engineers who qualified in the examination conducted by the IEI.
Is IEI approved by Aicte?
AICTE has approved the eligibility for AMIE Passouts with M.E./M. Tech for Teaching Assignments.
Is Amie is valid or not?
It is submitted that AICTE has not recognized AMIE as an equivalent qualification to BE/B. Tech for teaching post. I understand and stated that AICTE has clarified that AMIE course is not approved by it.

Is Amie valid in USA?
AMIE degree is equivalent to degree of engineering from any engineering college in India. With an amie degree you can apply for UPSC, GATE, and engineering services exams also you can apply for universities in US as well as UK.
Is Amie better than B Tech?
tech are of same academic level. But a student can get B. Tech degree only through regular class room study, while AMIE is the degree of same value that you can get through non-formal study. There are lots of job opertunities for B.
Can I get job after Amie?
After AMIE you will get equal opportunities for higher studies as well as jobs in both govt. and private sectors. The required qualification for AMIE is: > 3 year Polytechnic diploma or its equivalent in any branch of engineering from a recognized institute.
Is Amie is valid in UK?
AMIE is also recognized by UK-NARIC as a British bachelor’s honors degree. AMIE is also recognized by FCSA Foreign credential service of America as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Is Amie valid in 2022?
