How can I get free lice?
Try these tips to treat lice in your house:
- Use heat. Wash any items used or worn by the person in hot water, and dry them on high heat.
- Bag items in plastic. If you can’t toss the items into the washer and dryer, seal them in a plastic bag for 2 weeks.
- Vacuum.
- Clean hair tools.
- Don’t use insecticide fogs or sprays.
How do you use nit free lotion?
You need not wash your hair before applying head lice lotion. Use the lotion as ordinary shampoo and rub it all over your head with your hands. Pay special attention to parts such as hair root, scalp, back of your neck, temples, fringe and back of your ears. Avoid the eyes during application.
Can GP prescribe head lice treatment?
Treatment is only needed if a living, moving louse is found. Chemical treatments are available from your pharmacist or you can ask your GP who can prescribe them for you. You must repeat the treatment after 7 days to make sure that any lice which hatch after the first treatment are also killed.
