Is Tuflow software free?
TUFLOW has a wide range of licencing flexibility to suit everyone from students to global corporations. Free or demo mode that allows users to self-train, create and commercially apply small models with full access to our acclaimed support services at no cost.
What is Tuflow Modelling?
A live and interactive online introductory 2D modelling course run over two days. TUFLOW is a world-leading, powerful 1D and 2D computational engine for simulating floods, tides and urban stormwater network hydraulics.
Who developed Tuflow?
TUFLOW originated from a joint R&D project between WBM Pty Ltd and The University of Queensland in 1989/90 to develop a 2D modelling system with dynamic links to a 1D system, and has since gone from strength to strength as an industry leader.
What is Tuflow HPC?
TUFLOW HPC is an explicit solver for the full 2D Shallow Water Equations (SWE), including a sub-grid scale eddy viscosity model. The scheme is both volume and momentum conserving, is 2nd order in space and 4th order in time, with adaptive or fixed timestepping. It is unconditionally stable.
What is HPC solver?
From Tuflow. TUFLOW’s HPC solver was officially released in September 2017. It is a 1D and 2D fixed grid explicit solver with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) compatibility. It’s speed and exceptional stability are making it one of the most popular TUFLOW solvers.
What is a HPC license?
HPC Pack licenses can be combined to run a single analysis across a relatively high number of processors (cores) to offer highly scaled parallel processing for your most computationally demanding projects. Alternatively, they can also be separately used to run multiple analyses across multiple processors.
Is Microsoft HPC Pack free?
The high performance computing package (HPC Pack) is provided by Microsoft free of charge.
What is an HPC Pack?
HPC Pack allows you to create and manage HPC clusters consisting of dedicated on-premises Windows or Linux compute nodes, part-time servers, workstation computers, and dedicated or on-demand compute resources that are deployed in Microsoft Azure.
Who uses HPC today?
Deployed on premises, at the edge, or in the cloud, HPC solutions are used for a variety of purposes across multiple industries. Examples include: Research labs. HPC is used to help scientists find sources of renewable energy, understand the evolution of our universe, predict and track storms, and create new materials.
Is grid computing a HPC?
There are three HPC designs used: parallel computing, cluster computing, and grid and distributed computing.
What is HPC Pack?
What is Ansys HPC Pack?
Ansys HPC Pack is the HPC licensing solution from Ansys for capability computing. HPC Packs provide: • Virtually unlimited HPC at a fixed incremental cost: You decide what unlimited means to you and buy the right number of HPC Packs (see Figure 3) to support whatever level of capability computing you need.
What is HPC used for?
High performance computing (HPC) is the ability to process data and perform complex calculations at high speeds. To put it into perspective, a laptop or desktop with a 3 GHz processor can perform around 3 billion calculations per second.
What is HPC app?
HPC Applications are specifically designed to take advantage of the parallel nature of high-performance computational computing systems. Algorithmically designed to take advantage of high-performance architecture, these applications can be run on your compute cluster with only minor customization.
What is HPC Edition?
Like WCCS, Windows HPC Server 2008 is designed for high-end applications that require high performance computing clusters (HPC stands for High Performance Computing). This version of the server software is claimed to efficiently scale to thousands of cores.
