Can you still access the Wii Shop?

How do I access Wii Shop?
Accessing the Wii Shop Channel:
- Ensure that your Wii console is connected to the Internet. If you need assistance getting your Wii console online, click here.
- Select the Wii Shop Channel on the Wii Menu.
- If you have not previously accessed the Wii Shop Channel, you will need to read and agree to the User Agreement.
Can you still use the Wii Shop in 2022?
Yes, but only until May 23rd, 2022 if you’re using a credit card, and only until August 29th, 2022 if you have bought an eShop card. (In fact, this has been the case in the UK and Europe since September 2019, so this change will only affect 3DS and Wii U users elsewhere.)
Does Wii Shop Still Work 2021?
More recently, Nintendo announced it would be closing down the 3DS eShop and Wii U eShop by March 2023. While users will no longer be able to buy games, they’ll still be able to download previous purchases.

As of August 29, 2022, it will no longer be possible to use a Nintendo eShop Card to add funds to an account in Nintendo eShop on Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. However, it will still be possible to redeem download codes until late March 2023.
