What fish can you catch at the Busselton Jetty?

The Busselton Jetty is a legendary fishing spot, producing a wide range of species along its length. Bread and butter species like herring, skippy and squid are most commonly caught, but bigger fare such as samson fish, mulloway, tuna and salmon also turn up at times.

Busselton Jetty is a perennial favourite and a great place to catch smaller fish like herring, skippy and garfish. Locals say one of the best spots on the 1.8km jetty is between 250m and 750m. Tailor and shark can also be found in this area, and stick around at night to try your luck catching squid and mulloway.

As long as you have paid for your access to the jetty you’re able to fish day and night, however there are some restrictions from fishing off the end of the jetty (see below).
