Is Salento worth visiting?
So if you are not sure if Salento is worth visiting, wonder no more. Although Salento is more touristy than Jardin or Filandia, the array of activities and access to great trips, including fantastic Cocora Valley, makes it one of the best towns in the Coffee Triangle region of Colombia.

This is a very popular area for hiking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

You’ll want to bring layers: it’s hot at the start of the hike in the valley, but up in the cloud forest it’s cold and rainy. Also make sure you bring clothes that are safe to get muddy and will wash off easily, especially your hiking pants.
